Starsector has a fairly steep learning curve and when you start out, you will most likely be blown up by the first serious pirate fleet you encounter. After that, you’ll have to struggle with setting up a proper income. Making money in this game is very possible, but not effortless.

Probably a good thing too, since you'd lose those ships at some point. Webb7 aug. 2024 · Actually I would say that a colony fleet that is complimentary to you own by being the exact opposite would be more of an advantage. If you are running a lean and mean phase fleet then having AI allies in slow immovable battleships with tons of heavy artillery would make for excellent anvils to your own fleets hammer.
