At around 30,000, she had to have the valves cleaned of carbon buildup. The ‘Check engine’ light and detectable misfires while driving were the clues. WebI've heard the PCV system does a good job on the L15B7s, but GDI (Especially turbo GDIs) will always have some carbon build-up. There are one or two name-brand catch cans specifically for L15B7s, but even PRL says it's not worth it as the systems in place do a good enough job. This will need some deeper digging than just theory, of course.
